  Not once in my life had I ever willfully read a magazine that had nothing to do with school or a project for the last mentioned; the most I had done with one on my own has been to run through the pages and look at the pictures and advertisements, but finally now thanks to the class I have taken a deeper look at these pieces of literature and came to understand the logic and "science" behind them.   Despite being described as full of "disease and mull a cure" in the article "Chances are you won't bother to read this article. It is just one long block of text, after all, unbroken by alluring pictures, snappy captions, or eye-grabbing infographics. You can't click it. You can't flip it. All you can do is read it. (Does size matter?)", I believe that it does exactly what is intended to do; sell.  At 16 years of age, and after probably hundreds of movies of different genres, languages, lengths, and importance, I can finally say that I understand the meaning of the title sequences of them. After viewing clips and reading an article regarding the history of opening sequences and some explanations behind them:  The way the words are written, their color, shape, and size, the music and the scenery, and even the first acts and conversations all set up the type of movie that is about to be watched by the viewer. As mentioned in the “First Frames: Titles in the Digital Realm” now more than ever, film makers are able to experiment with texts and visuals in order to give viewers a better understanding and satisfaction when watching a movie; we get a first glance at this in the opening credits of “Choose Life” where a humorous and creative way of introducing the characters sets up a lighter mood for a relatively stronger topic, drug abuse.
