1. How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? Question 1   The question summarizes the choices and intentions of the inclusion of certain characteristics of my magazine. The question allows me to also show the effects it would have on the targeted social groups, as well as tackle the issues my magazine addresses. I chose to use pictures for my presentation in order to give the reader a better understanding of my source of inspiration. 2. How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? Question 2 The question allows me to dive deeper into the explanation who my audience is and how it is affected by my work. In the presentation, I decided to include pictures of my magazine pages to show exactly what I was talking about.   The magazine explores the familiar yet so unknown tradition and culture of the Italians and how it is incorporated in a business such as a restaurant, and the everyday life.

As of Friday, March 12, the final draft is close to completion as I fix the format of the  feature article to make it not only more entertaining, but also more effective in telling the story I chose.  With it being divided in sections next to pictures of my choosing , the reader can now be more entertained and visually pleased, as well as  able to read more fluently and with a better understanding.  The magazine overall looks better and feels more professional to present  to a wider  audience, and  looks worth the price it would take to print in large numbers.  

As of Tuesday, March 9, I have been working on and perfecting my cover page and contents  page rather than my article yet; as mentioned in my peer review blog post, I had some issues with how little catch phrases were on my c o ver,  as well as some minor  mistakes with color choices, inconsistencies in font, and some minor measuring mistakes as well.  I will use “Henriette Compressed Heavy” as the font throughout the cover . For the title, I will change the font color to black, since white was hiding some of the characters, and  center it as it was not done so properly.  The content page has also been fixed to be  more classy   to fit the theme presented in the rest of the magazine. This allows the flow and presentation of the information to be more genuine and fitting.  

  While presenting the portfolio project, I was able to get lots of feedback from my peers and my teacher  about the pros and the cons of it.  Overall, despite positive comments about the looks of the photography and the overall idea and theme, I have a lot of areas that I need to improve;  these stretch from what pictures I should use, the organization of my paragraphs, and the consistency of what font I use. Little detail s were also pointed out to make sure that my magazine does not have any flaws, such as centering the title in the cover page and change the color to a more noticeable one that does not blend in  with the background. The inconsistency between my front cover and the rest of my magazine was also pointed out, as it seems to shift from a classy theme to a more patriotic one, so I will need to work to mix the two together .
